Build a Rainy-Day Version of the Itinerary

Concept illustration: Riverside city scene representing a short itinerary

Concept illustration; not a photograph of a named property, destination or reported experience.

A strong weather alternative preserves the theme of the journey. Replacing a landscape day with random indoor stops can create more transit and less satisfaction.

Why this matters

Match outdoor priorities with nearby museums, workshops, food experiences or sheltered viewpoints, and check whether everyone else will have the same idea.

Make the plan usable

Group each day by real travel time and protect margin for conditions and energy. Record the details that would be difficult to recover during a delay, and leave enough margin to change the plan when the evidence changes.

Questions worth answering

  • Where is the daily anchor?
  • Which block is flexible?
  • How long are transitions?
  • What is the weather alternative?

Verify before travel

Schedules, access, prices, policies and conditions can change. Check current official information and confirm any detail that would determine whether the trip works.
